Project Description
Quittin’ Time
2023 | Short Film
Project
You ever feel like finishing work, taking off all your clothes and running naked into the woods? Oh… urm, me neither. I did spend a year at Vancouver Film School making a short film about it though. This was my final project and a real labour of love, undertaking ALL aspects of the production process myself. Starting with the storyboarding and animatic I then moved on to character design. I used a combination of harmony rigged and hand-drawn frame-by-frame characters all of which needed designing, building and bringing to life. Once all the characters had been designed and built they needed a world in which to live, layouts had to be created and backgrounds drawn and painted. Then of course came the animation, days, weeks and months of animation, with compositing bringing the whole film home.
